North Jetty Promenade,
Aubrey Austin Park and Ballona Lagoon

North Jetty Promenade - paved walkway and beach access

Take a walk along the North Jetty overlooking the main channel. Watch all the boats sailing by.
The walkway is paved to the end, making it great for strollers or wheelchairs. The walkway
provides access to the protected south end of Venice Beach, where kite sailors practice.

Have a picnic on the grass.Enjoy the ocean breeze.

Aubrey E. Austin Jr. Memorial Park overlooks the main channel of Marina del Rey. Take a picnic
and sit in the sun, or rest on one of our benches and enjoy the fresh air.

Here is the plaque commemorating the naming of the park after Aubrey Austin, who was president
of the Santa Monica Bank.

 

Follow the ramp to a perfect spot for contemplating the artwork. Artwork on the Ballona Lagoon overlook.

Across the street from the park is the Ballona Lagoon overlook. This ramp is stroller and wheelchair accessible. The platform provides a peaceful spot for contemplating the artwork and watching the local birds.

Parking is available overlooking the channel at meters, or all day in Lot #13 just inland from the park
